THE SIMPLICITY OF ITALIAN CUISINE IN A FINE DINING SETTING

About Us

Our company is based on the belief that our customers' needs are of the utmost importance. Our entire team is committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals. In those rare instances when we might not meet your expectations, I promise two things: First, that it was not for lack of effort, for negligence or merely for dereliction of duty. Second, that we will try even harder next time. We might not always succeed but we will absolutely always try. As the proverb goes; if at first you don't succeed... you know the rest.

We would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the best service in the industry.

Events -This month's wine pairing dinner will be held on Sunday July 26th at 6:30pm and it will feature the city of Trieste and the surrounding northeastern Italian region of Friuli back as part of Italy since 1954 after being part of Austria for 157 years.

This northeastern region with Trieste as its capital was a past seat of the Hapsburg House of the Austrian-Hungarian Empire. It is bordered by Austria and Slovenia.

Friuli Venezia Giulia cooking is known as a composite of Friulian peasant fare, sophisticated Venetian food and influences from the Slavic and Austrian cultures. Despite these vastly different styles of cooking, this region manages to merge them successfully.

This is where 90% of Italian pumpkins are grown and this vegetable features prominently in this region's gastronomy during its season. Polenta and pasta are staple foods with gnocchi ruling as the pasta of choice as well as pumpkin-filled ravioli. Various seafood dishes include shrimps from the Adriatic such as Scampi a la Busara or Trout from its many lakes. Prosciutto di San Daniele, arguably the best in the world comes from this region and pork is the meat of choice. Its desserts are mostly apple strudels and various flavors of tiramisu.

Friuli also produces some of the best white wines in Italy among them Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Bianco and the local Tocai Friulano as well as Verduzzo for dessert wine. Its cooler climate reds tend to be more austere but bold and delicious. Among its best reds are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and the local Schioppettino and Refosco.

We hope you'll be able to join us as we discover this region of Italy. This will be a delicious dinner.

Thank you
