Rafagino restaurant

About Us

Our company is based on the belief that our customers' needs are of the utmost importance. Our entire team is committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of our business is from repeat customers and referrals. In those rare instances when we might not meet your expectations, I promise two things: First, that it was not for lack of effort, for negligence or merely for dereliction of duty. Second, that we will try even harder next time. We might not always succeed but we will absolutely always try. As the proverb goes; if at first you don't succeed... you know the rest.

We would welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the best service in the industry.

A quarter of a century plus - Rafagino Restaurant just had its 27th anniversary on 01/04/2021. Thank you for being a part of our success and longevity.

Happy 27th Birthday, Rafagino! It’s been an incredible ride so far and we are looking forward to the future. I would like to thank all of our customers for their invaluable support and patronage over the years. Without your kind assistance and your frequent visits there would be no Rafagino a fact that is never lost on our constant appreciation for you. Especially during this pandemic, your generosity was the primary reason for our survival. Salute!!!

You have our unending and unforgettable gratitude.

Events - Monthly Wine DinnerTrentino Alto-Adige 5-course wine pairing dinner - Join us on Sunday July 25th at 5:30 p.m. for this month's wine pairing dinner. We will be featuring the region of Trentino Alto Adige, situated in the very north of Italy bordering Austria and Switzerland, and best known for the beauty of its peaks. This setting encloses an extraordinary variety of landscapes: magnificent snow-capped mountaintops, woods, wide valleys, streams, lakes, the enchanting play of light between the spires of the Dolomites, typical villages with soaring bell towers, and the myriad shades of unadulterated nature. Hundreds of miles of ski slopes make this region a cutting-edge tourist destination.

Trentino Alto Adige cooking draws as heavily from its Germanic roots as it does from its Italian heritage. Most of the dishes are hearty and come from the peasant tradition of the region. Over many years, the residents of this autonomous region in Italy have created a unique blend of the two cuisines. Goulash is served with cornmeal polenta. Pizza and pasta is as likely to be on the menu as sauerkraut. Polenta is the staple starch along with agnolotti and tagliatelle. Its culinary tradition includes lots of soups, salume such as speck, Gorgonzola cheese, game meats, trout from its lakes and creeks and apple strudel as the reigning dessert (this region produces more apples than any other European country).

This region produces the world's best Pinot Grigio (made in a refreshing and zesty style that will tickle your teeth) and Pinot Bianco, great Gewurtztraminer, the local reds of Schiavo and Lagrein as well as highly structured Cabernet and Merlot.

If you'd like to join us, please call the restaurant for reservations at (703) 455-3095. It starts at 5:30 pm. We will be thrilled to host you and your guests for this delicious event.
